Description
After Hurricane Katrina, I shot a lot of photos in the first subdivision created in New Orleans, the Faubourg Marigny. Here is a pastel rendition on canvas of a tall blue shuttered window on a white creole cottage. A cloud and part of a sheer curtain can be seen in the window. One shutter is open. To the side, one can see the search markings made on houses and other buildings to indicate that the place was searched and what was found or not found. I took this in the Spring of 2006, about half a year after Hurricane Katrina damaged New Orleans.

KK, This is great photography. I've always thought that windows and doors were interesting, often wondering who or what is behind them. I looked closely & could see the cloud reflection in the window. Love the blue shutters. Your description with this is informative to me. You're on my watch list. I'll come back soon. F/V
