I am not sure if this is a shelduck or a wood duck. I am pretty sure it is a shelduck. If anyone knows, please tell me. Thanks. This pretty water fowl was found in Lafreniere Park in the New Orleans, LA area. His feathers are glossy rusty brown, bottom feathers are black, and his head is a mixture. At the end of his red beak is a blue spot. Beautiful and sort of small birds, this duck is one of many in the park. This image has been digitally painted with the help of Topaz Impression.
