Description
Sometimes the most simple elements create a pleasing design, such as this white wooden hinged door and its accompanying red shutter that is missing a few slats. This, too, was a façade of a building in the Faubourg Marigny area of New Orleans. I really like the red and white and the lines and shapes in this photo.

Now you know I like the old white barn looking door, but those hot red shutters add so much more to the entry. Once again, a Knock Out entry.

.Very nice KK! I like the two doors, side by side with the contrast of colors and lines, horazontal on the shutters and vertcal on the door. Simple but a lot of interessting things going on!

I have done a lot of carpentry and construction and I reckon I am a bit anal about stuff like that. I tried to build things with the possibility that a photographer with a graphics background might want to shoot shoot them. :)

A striking image, kk! A fine study in contrast. I would like to talk to the guy who built this about the haphazard spacing of his hinges. :)
Kathleen K Parker replied:
Craftsman you!! I did not even notice that act of haphazardness of the hinging! :) LOL Steve! Thanks, KK :)
