This Live Oak tree dominates the landscape. Small buildings stand behind it. Much of this land along River Road not far up from New Orleans, LA used to belong to working plantations. This tree is an example of the oaks that grow in this region. Some are 200-300 years old. What a beauty this one is. I prefer this image in black and white.
I am Kathleen K. Parker, a native of New Orleans. Over the years, I have worked as a contract venue photographer for AOL-Time Warner, a virtual tour/still photographer for VR National and for individual clients, and a magazine photographer for several publications. In addition, I have college degrees in Computer Graphic Design and English. Today I photograph weddings, especially destination weddings here, other events, landscapes, people, portraits, interesting subjects in general, and, of course, my beloved New Orleans. Street photography and French Quarter photography are two of my favorite subjects!! Thank you for visiting my fine art gallery! a terrific B&W of that tree. That one bare limb makes it even more interesting!
