Description
Here a dragon eating someone is the main decoration on this float. Riders throw beads and all sorts of stuff. I got a great spear! The Krewe of Caesar is a night parade in Metairie and is one of many parades scheduled to roll in the Greater New Orleans Area before Mardi Gras Day. Here you can see the lovely float decorations by Blane Kern, the riders in costumes, and the hands and heads of parade goers. Laissez le bon temps rouler! :)

Thanks, y'all. I appreciate your comments. This is one of the best parades in the suburbs. It is Caesar. This was not an easy shot. Quickly, I had to get the third guy on float in the photo; it was night; the float was moving; I was trying to time it and place myself in a crowd so not a ton of hands were in my view; and I was shooting at f /2.8.- and wide angle-- I think 17mm. High ISO. The rider is happy with it, so I am happy!

Wow!! What a fantastic float! Love the vivid colors and action you captured by the hands of the parade goers!!
