Description
Here is a digital sketch of a "crosses voided" in wrought iron and part of a fence around at tomb at St.Louis Number One Cemetery on Basin Street near the French Quarter and Treme areas of the city. The reason this cross is called crosses voided is because the insides of the cross are not filled in with metal.
One can find these crosses and variations in the oldest cemeteries in New Orleans.
