Hurricane Katrina destroyed this house, leaving a rather desolate framed image of a couch almost pulled out of a broken living room window, drapery, caught in the debris, and other items in the house ruined. Outside the shutters frame the image. The writing on the shutters and bricks was placed there by teams who searched for survivors. We will never forget this.
I am Kathleen K. Parker, a native of New Orleans. Over the years, I have worked as a contract venue photographer for AOL-Time Warner, a virtual tour/still photographer for VR National and for individual clients, and a magazine photographer for several publications. In addition, I have college degrees in Computer Graphic Design and English. Today I photograph weddings, especially destination weddings here, other events, landscapes, people, portraits, interesting subjects in general, and, of course, my beloved New Orleans.
