Description
By Annette Sisco in The Advocate: " Zombies are in style everywhere these days, but they never went out of fashion in New Orleans. That might explain why the Zombie Run this Sunday in City Park had 400 people signed up to play the role of the undead, ready to lurch along a 5K course to give “human” runners a little extra jolt of motivation.
“Absolutely! What better city to come to?” exclaimed Alisha Allen, event director of the Zombie Run, which has its headquarters in Philadelphia (another nice old city with buried secrets).
Moss-draped and vast, City Park can have an eerie vibe even without boys and ghouls running rampant. “It’s gorgeous, it’s huge,” Allen said. “There’s really so much potential: abandoned buildings, gravel, fields, waterways. It really worked.”
The run is a cross between flag football and “Night of the Living Dead,” with a fun afterparty. Runners will set out at 7 a.m., wearing belts festooned with heart-shaped balloons that represent their vital organs. Zombies, meanwhile, will be stationed in five zones along the course, intent on seizing those balloons. At the finish line, survivors’ honors will go to those who have guts."

I think the Zombie collection is fantastic. I saw lots of your pics on FB and loved them. You're right, you need to get right up and personal with them to get the true feeling and inspiration for your photograph. You did a great job.

haha...next time you let them follow you until they get lost from their route...and than YOU can STRIKE with your ....camera ...in any pose YOU want them...like in a dark alley or some gloomy willows behind them...LOL

What an event, must be unique in the world ? I would make another version where the sky is not blue...but maybe a bit reddish....LOL

Good idea Michel. The fun thing about these photos is that "anything goes!!" I will try that idea. Thanks!! No, it is not unuque in the world. I think they have this run in several cities in USA. Not sure about elsewhere. It is fun. We got there a bit late. They had rescheduled it to an earlier time but few websites had the correction we were told. So we only saw about a third of the zombies. It is very hot here in summer, Michel but there are some things just not to be missed... this was one. I had to talk to them, to get them to come after me! Really!! It was funny and the pics were better that way, too. KK
