Description
The Tree of Life is one of New Orleans most famous live oaks. It is enormous.
Probably 20 people could stand on the roots for a group shot, and all would fit quite well. This tree is in Audubon Park near the zoo. It is hundreds of years old--the estimates vary from 200-400 years old. Digitally painted image.

“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.” ... Congratulations on your recent sale of a wonderful work!

Kathleen: Revisiting your art - found this image - LOVE it !!! We lived in Metairie during 1977 & 1978 and again in 1980 & 1981. Loved the "life" around Jackson Square, etc. Now to your image. Really well done !! Beautiful old Live Oak says New Orleans all over it. Another one of those simple things mother nature provides for us if we simply take the time to feast upon its beauty with our eyes. Not only did you do so but like the true professional you are you captured it for others to enjoy. VERY. VERY WELL DONE !! It was indeed our pleasure to L/F this image and also to "Follow" you.
