Photographed for One Day in New Orleans by Kathleen K Parker 4-26-2014, this little train in City Park takes its riders throughout much of the park. Riders see the beautiful live oaks that are centuries old, the museum, the dueling oak, birds and other wildlife, beautiful lagoons, flowers, bridges--some constructed during the WPA years, and so much more. I entitled this The Little Engine That Could because it came back to the park just as New Orleans came back following the terrible destruction of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The park is back and better than ever!
