Thank you, Steve. That was in Little Five Points. I was taking some pics for two guys with a software company. I told them if they wanted any pics of the homeless, they would have to have signed permission and pay each person $5. That was a lot more value than $5 is today. So she and I tried to communicate as best we could, and I understood better from her and from two men with whom we sat down and talked for maybe an hour. The guys said they would try to help one man find his girlfriend. He had been in hospital and when he got out, she was not anywhere to be found. We decided she was probably in a women's shelter, and you cannot get that info readily. It was a very touching and educating experience. You know me, I can do dat connecting stuff. She was at first belligerent. Not afterward. I thought she still looked pretty despite the circumstances of her life. So that is the story about this photo plus a little extra....:) kk

A powerful and important shot, kk! It takes courage for her to ask for help, and courage by you to make the connection with her. I am moved. Well done!
