Description
On an old live oak tree on the grounds of Destrehan Plantation near New Orleans, I found this old "No Trespassing" sign (actually today it says"no passing") that had been reclaimed in part by nature. The vines may have grown over it and onto the trunk, or maybe the sign was stuck under the vines. At any rate, I imagine that the sign is not going to blow away anytime soon! :)

Hahaha... thanks, steve... yes, for dying, but I think they cannot do much about the latter.... :) kk

Great find, kk! I guess they prohibit dying and tooting on plantation grounds. :) vf

Your beautiful photograph of the old Oak Tree on the grounds of Destrehan Plantation is a tree that could be found in so many places in Southern Louisiana with the vines covering the tree. The sign is a great addition to the age of both of them. The old moss green element is also in so many of the beautiful trees of the area. Excellent photograph. Reminds me of 'home'.
