Along the river in the French Quarter and the Convention Center, the red streetcars run. This car has stopped at the Toulouse St.depot. The streetcar makes getting around the French Quarter a lot easier and also a lot cooler on hot summer days. BW version available, too.
I am Kathleen K. Parker, a native of New Orleans. Over the years, I have worked as a contract venue photographer for AOL-Time Warner, a virtual tour/still photographer for VR National and for individual clients, and a magazine photographer for several publications. In addition, I have college degrees in Computer Graphic Design and English. Today I photograph weddings, especially destination weddings here, other events, landscapes, people, portraits, interesting subjects in general, and, of course, my beloved New Orleans. Street photography and French Quarter photography are two of my favorite subjects!! Thank you for visiting my fine art gallery! Hello Kathleen! I have never had the privilege of visiting New Orleans, but your photos have helped me get a little glimpse into the life in the city. I particularly love this charming street car. f/v Kirsten

Thanks, steve. Shot this when I was waiting for a bride and groom. This was taken from the back of the Jax Brewery building on an elevated deck of sorts. It offers a great view of things such as this streetcar and the river. I know you miss New Orleans. I missed it terribly when I moved away a year after Katrina just about killed us, but I came back!! And so should you! Gets in your blood, doesn't it! kk :)
