This mosaic is found in campos two of Saint Roch Cemetery in New Orleans, LA USA, established by Rev. P.L. Thevis as part of a promise to have his parish spareid of the Yellow Fever Epidemic. In this second part of St. Roch, one can see mosaics similar to this one in the corners of the walls that enclose the cemetery.

PS Yes, the cemeteries are wonderful!! When I visit other places that bury their dead underground, I feel kinda lost! We are used to above ground tombs and such, but we do have one cemetery in NOLA that is underground. The reason ours are above ground is that our water table is high. Zee history lesson is over! :)) kk
