This is a Christmas card with the words "Merry Christmas" on the background photo of a French Quarter lamppost decorated with velvet red ribbons as is the tradition at Christmas here in New Orleans. The St. Louis Cathedral is also in the photo. All of the lampposts in Jackson Square are decorated with these lovely red bows.
I am Kathleen K. Parker, a native of New Orleans. Over the years, I have worked as a contract venue photographer for AOL-Time Warner, a virtual tour/still photographer for VR National and for individual clients, and a magazine photographer for several publications. In addition, I have college degrees in Computer Graphic Design and English. I rarely think of Christmas with snow! :)) Really!! Unless I am shopping for Christmas cards, that is or watching a movie. We do occasionally get snow, but it is rare and never on Christmas that I recall, Steve!
