Description
At the supposed burial site of Marie Laveau in St. Louis One Cemetery in New Orleans near the French Quarter, a spiritual minister lights incense sticks to be placed on her tomb on All Saint's Day. On his hands are many rings. On his arms are bracelets. He holds the incense this way to keep the flames burning. Soon he will place these sticks on her tomb in a small holder on the tomb. The side of the tomb is showing in this photo, and one can see the XXX marks that visitors write on Laveau's tomb. See my photo "Incense for Marie Laveau 2" for more details. This was really interesting!
