This is a photograph of Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar in New Orleans on the corner of Bourbon St and St.Phillip St. in the French Quarter. Built in the early 1700's, it is touted as the oldest structure in the USA that is used as a bar . According to legend, this building was used by Jean Lafitte and his brother Pierre for smuggling operations.
