Description
In Carrollton Cemetery, I found this old vault of many very old tombs. Some are still covered with stone. Others are covered with bricks, A gate on each end closes it off but was open on All Saint's Day for visitors. Looking out of the doorway one can see grasses and other tombs and the sky. This is in New Orleans, LA, southern Louisiana.

This is such a beautiful photo but a bit spooky, kind of an interred alive thing!
Kathleen K Parker replied:
Thanks, Steve! It is spooky. This is New Orleans and we have a lot of spooky burial places a.k.a. mausoleums of different vintages. However, they fascinate me. Thanks a lot for commenting on my photo. I really do appreciate it!
