I am Kathleen K. Parker, a native of New Orleans. Over the years, I have worked as a contract venue photographer for AOL-Time Warner, a virtual tour/still photographer for VR National and for individual clients, and a magazine photographer for several publications. In addition, I have college degrees in Computer Graphic Design and English. Today I photograph weddings, especially destination weddings here, other events, landscapes, people, portraits, interesting subjects in general, and, of course, my beloved New Orleans. Street photography and French Quarter photography are two of my favorite subjects!! Thank you for visiting my fine art gallery! KK, the colors are so vibrant. It makes me feel like I am sitting right in the middle of everything. Did I just see a 'Quarter Local' throw a fresh sugared Beignet into the trash? That lady in the red jacket saw it happen too! But really. really, I do just love it.....XOXOXOXO JK
Kathleen K Parker replied:
Thanks, Judie!! I think the local did just that! My lens saw it, too!! xoxo kk

Thanks, Steve. Yes, it truly does. I take most of the people I photograph in the Quarter down here to the doorway in the cafe by the green shutters and on down by the yellow and hot pink buildings. Did you know that William Faulkner used to live in the yellow house? Yes, for awhile. Today there are some painters who have set up shop at the end of this alley. Sometimes they are even in the images of my wedding people... it is what it is and how it is. We go with the flow of things down here. :) I know how dear NOLA is to you and I really appreciate your comment about this image, Steve. Thanks, so much! :) kk
