This is a monochrome photo of a rutted dirt road, a big looming old live oak with leaves and moss, and two frame houses. A car is parked at the end of the road. These houses are typical of this area along the River Road near Vacherie, LA River Road runs along the Mississippi River's levees. Down the road is Oak Alley Plantation.
I am Kathleen K. Parker, a native of New Orleans.
